The 15kV/27kV fuse cutout (dropout fuse cutout) is an economical and dependable overcurrent protection solution widely used in medium-voltage overhead distribution networks. When a fault or overload occurs, the fuse link melts and the fuse tube automatically drops open, providing a clear visual indication of operation and isolating the faulty circuit for safe, quick restoration.

Installation & Maintenance

1. Mount the cutout vertically on the crossarm using the provided galvanized hardware, ensuring adequate clearance between phases.
2. Select the correct fuse link (K or T speed) according to your time-current coordination study.
3. Install the fuse link in the fuseholder, close the tube, and hook it into the upper contact using an approved hot stick.
4. After operation, inspect the fuse link and tube for damage, replace the fuse link, and re-close.
